2016 Fall Conference in Mauritius, November 3 – November 4

IMSA Fall Meeting at the Labourdonnais Waterfront Hotel in Republic of Mauritius, was held on 3rd and 4th November 2016.

Main topics of the meeting discussed by IMSA members were focused on IMSA in a digital age and expanding business in Africa. A teleconference webinar presentation on “IMSA in a Digital Age” was conducted by Kathleen Duffy from IMSA USA, each member was invited to share their point of view.

During the Mauritius meeting, IMSA welcomed a new partner from Morocco, who became the second representative of the African continent. The selected member, took part in a multi-stage application process, in order to secure the high quality level of the organization, just like it happened with other IMSA members before.

The participants of the meeting took a chance to listen to two Guest Speakers: Messrs Didier Viney, Head of Africa Desk of DTOS and Vinay Guddaye, Head of Global Outreach at Board of Investment. Both gentleman gave an exposure on two different topics, “Doing Business in Africa” and “Mauritius The Melting Pot – an example for a world more divided”. All IMSA members had a fruitful interaction with our guest speakers.

Other topics on the agenda were an update from all over the world about new trends in executive recruitment and an exchange of lessons learned from helping clients in different parts of the world.

Since Mauritius is considered as a touristic destination, our host from Mauritius organised the sightseeing cruise, to visit the Islands around Mauritius and to have the taste of the Mauritian authenticity.
