A graduate Chartered Accountant with Ernst & Young London, Phillip spent his early career in search with an international FTSE Plc where he managed a large portion of their international business. He subsequently became Managing Director of a boutique search practice before joining Deloitte Consulting.
Over some 10 years, he helped build and subsequently directed Deloitte’s Executive Search practice and HR Consulting operations throughout central England. He was a founding director of a successful independent firm in 2000 which became the UK representative of Friisberg & Partners International where he held the role of Deputy Chairman and was Treasurer until 2021.
His recruitment and search experience covers all major board functions working with a range of businesses from entrepreneurial SME’s to FTSE250 companies. He is also experienced in Management Audit and in Assessment and Development work. His industry experience covers professional services, logistics and retail, manufacturing, and finance.

After qualifying with a degree in Metallurgy and Engineering Materials, Graham began his career in a division of Burmah Castrol in their research and development function, before progressing into an international marketing role. He then joined the foundry division of Cookson plc in a technical sales role before entering the recruitment sector.
He has worked for two market leading firms, Michael Page and Odgers Berndtson before then working in a small generalist executive search boutique. Graham has worked in search and selection for over 20 years now with experience recruiting at all levels in a wide range of market sectors and across most business functions.
