2016 Spring Conference in Berlin, Germany, May 26 – May 27
The international executive recruiters network IMSA celebrates its 25th anniversary in 2016. On occasion of that, but also to discuss business of mutual interest and to exchange market knowledge and experiences, IMSA honorary and regular members coming from 15 countries all over the world met for their spring meeting on 26th and 27th of May this year in Berlin, Germany.
The meeting started with a review of the past. Two of the founding and now honorary members of IMSA reported about the early days of international cooperation in executive recruitment and explained how from small beginnings over the years a well reputated, solid and sound network was established. Following the basic philosophy that local people should do local business IMSA partners intensively cooperate when their clients have needs to fill management positions abroad.
During the Berlin meeting IMSA could welcome new partners from France, Belgium, Italy and Mexico to further strengthen the network for the benefit of clients and candidates. Like all IMSA members these carefully selected companies had to go through a multi-stage application process in order to secure the high quality level of the organization.
Other topics on the agenda were updates from all over the world about new trends in executive recruitment and an exchange of lessons learned from helping clients in different parts of the world.
As the IMSA Spring Meeting 2016 took place in the German capital Berlin, all participants were invited by the Member of Parliament Marcus Held (among others Member on the Committee of Economics and Energy of the German Bundestag) to visit the German Reichstag building and to meet with him to discuss various international political issues.
Visits to famous and important historical sites in Berlin like Brandenburger Tor or the Berlin Wall were added and left strong memories about Berlin with all conference participants.
